Make Your Rank Lower Monday Alexa Blog Hop 5/9-5/15/11

Welcome to the first of the week-long daily blog hops being hosted by Crunchy Frugalista and Money Savvy Michelle!  We’re so excited to start offering these hops and hope everyone has a blast meeting new blogging friends.  Make sure you come back each day as we’ll feature a new network or theme!  Each day’s hop will be open for a week to make sure everyone has enough time to follow each other.

Today’s blog hop is Make Your Rank Lower Monday and is directed toward making your Alexa rank lower.  If you’re a blogger and aren’t really sure what Alexa rating is about, take note, especially if you plan on being PR friendly and/or selling ad space!

In a nut shell, Alexa ratings are based on how many people, with the Alexa Toolbar installed, visit your blog and how many pages they look at.  If you want more details, you can visit this page at Alexa.  If you’re wanting PR and advertising sponsors on your blog, they are most likely going to want to know what your Alexa rating is, and the lower the better.  This is where our blog hop comes in to help!

• Leave a link to your blog in the linky below.  Please don’t link to giveaways, Facebook, etc.  We’ll have a linky for those featured later in the week!  Family-friendly only please.
• Visit as many other blogs as you can.  Be sure to leave them a comment saying you’re visiting from a blog hop and a link to your blog so they can return the favor!  Remember, while this is optional, the more blogs you visit, the more people will visit your own blog, and the lower your rank will go!
